A single layer feed-forward neural network are proposed and implemented using the
schematic editor of the Xilinx foundation series 2.1i. First the mathematical model of the
data set (weights and inputs) is presented in a matrix multiplication format. Secondly the
five design stages are presented and implemented without using the finite state machine,
which control the processes of the forward propagation phase, error calculation, and the
training algorithm. Finally the design can be optimized to decrease the total execution time
and to minimize the cost, which eventually will increase the performance and improve the
function density.University of Technology-IraqIRAQI JOURNAL OF COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING1811-92125220051228 منظومة كبح تلقائیة لمركبة باستخدام المسیطر المضبب ( Fuzzy Controller)182665595ENJournal Article20051201Abstract:

Link quality evaluation unit is very essential in recent digital data receiver
especially in time vary channel such as HF and mobile radio. It provides the adaptive
detector with the required information or parameters optimize its performance from the
power and rate points of views. These information parameters include the signal-tonoise
ratio, Doppler spread, channel severity and the estimate of the sampled impulse
response of the channel.
Efficient schemes for the estimation of HF channel were presented. The chosen
parameters are the Doppler spread, channel severity and the signal-to-noise ratio which
are the dominant ionosheric propagation parameters.
Computer simulation tests have been carried out to evaluate these estimators over HF
channel that has been simulated based on Waterson model. Results of computer
simulation tests have shown the ability of these estimators to track the variation of the
HF channel accurately and efficiently.University of Technology-IraqIRAQI JOURNAL OF COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING1811-92125220051228Design of Neuro-Fuzzy Controller for Water-Level Tank utilizing Genetic Algorithms .445165599ENMohammed Z. The purpose of this paper is to design an efficient, reliable, fast, easy to extend, and
small size experimental real-time operating system kernel for uniprocessor multitask
system. It is a kernel with an underlying formal model based on periodic and sporadic tasks
with guaranteed response time requirements to tasks and shared software resources. It is
distinguished by the programming model it supports and its use of a new processor
scheduling and resource allocation. The kernel represents a nucleus of supervisory software
to perform the required real–time functions. It logically runs and coordinates concurrent
and physically asynchronous activities. It offers appropriate synchronization and task
communication mechanism among tasks.University of Technology-IraqIRAQI JOURNAL OF COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING1811-92125220051228A Proposed Design for the Broadband Microwave Distributed Amplifiers727865600ENDr. Ali A. AliDr. M. S. AbdulWahabMr. Azad R. KareemJournal Article20051201Abstract:
In this paper, a new method for the design of the broadband RF/microwave amplifiers
employing distributed amplification is presented. It proposes to use stages with asymmetric
lumped elements (inductances and capacitances) in the gate and drain circuits of the
amplifier instead of symmetric elements in order to control the frequency response and to
achieve a flat gain over a large bandwidth. The need for impedance matching problems is
also solved. Simulation result obtained demonstrates that the new design gives better
frequency response as compared to the conventional distributed amplifiers even without
optimization.University of Technology-IraqIRAQI JOURNAL OF COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING1811-92125220051228A Dynamic Economic Dispatch Solution Method using Hopfield Neural Network799265616ENB.ScQ.M.AliasPh.DMScM.ScF. BenhamidaBScJournal Article20051201Abstract:
This paper analyzes and tests a proposed neural network (NN) to solve the Dynamic
Economic Dispatch (DED) as part of the unit commitment problem. The proposed NN is a
fast and direct computation solver using a Hopfield model for solving the dynamic economic
dispatch problem of thermal generators which is a dynamic optimization problem taking into
account the constraints imposed on system operation by generator ramping rate limits.
Formulations for solving the ED and DED problems are explored. Through the application of
these formulations, direct computation instead of iterations for solving the problem becomes
possible. Not like the usual Hopfield network, which select the weighting factors of the
energy function by trials, the proposed network determines the corresponding factors by
calculations and employs a linear input-output model for the neurons. The effectiveness of the
developed neural network is identified through its application to the New England test system.
Computational results manifest that the model has a lot of excellent performances.University of Technology-IraqIRAQI JOURNAL OF COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING1811-92125220051228Digital System for Aircraft Attitude Measurement9310365602ENDr. Muaiad Shawqi M. AL-FaysaleHaider Khudheyer LatifJournal Article20051201Abstract:
Aircraft convention defines the attitude parameters in terms of three angles: roll,
pitch and heading. These angles are referenced to the local horizontal plane defined by
gravity vector. Attitude information for aircraft is obtained by using spinning rotor or
ring laser gyroscopes. These systems are very precise but they suffer from many
problems such as high cost, large size and weight and the requirements for elaborate and
intricate mechanical structure.
These problems can be reduced by the exploitation of the micromachined technology.
In this work, an attitude measuring system based on the ADXL202
accelerometer, the HMC2003 magnetic sensor and the ADuC812 microcontroller has
been designed and implemented. An algorithm for decoding of the ADXL202 output
signals is described and implemented as software programs written in C-language to
perform and display the attitude measurements and a correction method for the errors
introduced by tilt angles is described.
The measuring system operation is examined by the test of the reading’s
repeatability and constancy. A good repeatability and constancy with a high degree of
precision and small amounts of error and dispersion are found from these tests.University of Technology-IraqIRAQI JOURNAL OF COMPUTERS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING1811-92125220051228Design and Implementation of a General Purpose Transmitter Based on Microcontroller AT89C52 .10411365615ENMr.Munqith A At-BakerMiss. Strapdown system algorithms are the mathematical definition of processes which
convert the measured outputs of Inertial Navigation System (INS) sensors that are fixed to
a vehicle body axis into quantities which can be used to control the vehicle.
In this work, a reduced and fast terrestrial strapdown INS algorithm was developed
and implemented for three-degree of freedom (3DOF). The evaluation of the algorithm is
based on the accuracy of the proposed algorithm with real data.
